Statewide Behavioral Health Program with SBHC Funding is Recruiting for Year 2!

The New York School-Based Health Foundation seeks to support and strengthen school-based health centers (SBHCs) behavioral health services throughout New York State thanks to another year of generous funding by the New York Community Trust and the New York State Health Foundation.

The goal of this new behavioral health technical assistance program is to enhance New York’s school-based health centers capacity to meet the new wave of need resulting from students' and families’ experiences of the COVID pandemic. The program will be designed to strengthen the SBHCs' capabilities, systems, and processes through which they deliver behavioral health services and to assure the SBHCs play an integral and coordinated role now and into the future.

The program is in its second year, with 10 sponsoring organizations (SOs) enrolled each year to receive technical assistance aimed at their particular problems and priorities; group trainings; peer sharing; a resource library; and a $4,000 stipend to help fund improvement projects of their own design. This opportunity is open to all SBHC SOs and the first 10 to apply will be enrolled for 2023. We will consider interest from Year 1 participants to join the Year 2 cohort.

If you are interested in joining us for Year 2, please reach out to Katy Cook, Program Manager, at katy@adkhealthsolutions.com, and if you have a project in mind or an issue you would like to tackle, please complete this optional form linked here and send it to Katy Cook at the e-mail address above.
