Immigrant Health resource Library

Immigrant children can be particularly vulnerable to many different health conditions. In addition, some may  struggle to get their basic needs of safe housing, warm clothing and nutritional met.   We wanted to provide a list of resources for immigrant families and information how we can best support newcomer students and families

Know Your Rights 

This fold-out poster in English, Spanish, and French guides immigrants in New York State on how to avoid immigration scams, protect their families when interacting with ICE, and create a plan for their family in the event of deportation

Immigrants and Upstate New York

This resource is focused for those in the Upstate Region. The tri-fold poster educates immigrants on how to interact with Border Patrol and local law enforcement, and ways to reduce the risk from traffic stops.

Asylum Seeker Resource Poster

This illustrated tri-language poster guides asylum seekers— many of whom have limited English and literacy skills— step-by-step through the difficult process of receiving asylum, and provides information about other resources they can turn to for assistance.
